The 5-day Uganda primate safari begins and ends in Entebbe or Kampala, offering a remarkable exploration of the prominent primate species. In Kibale Forest National Park, participants can engage in thrilling trekking experiences while encountering captivating chimpanzees. Similarly, at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, rare mountain gorillas await discovery. The safari also includes a cultural tour to the Batwa pygmies, the original inhabitants of Bwindi before their relocation for gorilla conservation efforts.

On arrival our company representative will pick you up from the Airport and transfer you to papyrus Guest house in Entebbe, where you will check in, refresh and relax, have dinner overnight.
After an early morning breakfast at your hotel our company driver/guide will pick you up from the hotel, he will brief you about the whole safari before you travel to Bwindi Impenetrable. and you will embark on an 8 hours journey towards the southwest of Uganda to Bwindi national park. There will be several stops to enjoy the scenery and a stopover at the Equator crossing will provide you an opportunity to take photos, also feel free to buy some crafts and souvenirs as you head to Mbarara city where you will have your lunch. Thereafter, proceed to Bwindi whereby you will arrive late in the afternoon. Check in at the lodge, relax in the evening and have Dinner and overnight at Rushaga gorilla lodge
After an early morning breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters where you will be briefed. Briefing for gorilla trekking takes place at 7:00 am by a Ranger at the Bwindi Park head offices. All gorilla trackers must be at the park by this time to attend the briefing which is an overview of what to expect during the gorilla trekking. A gorilla safari in Bwindi Forest offers you several gorilla groups to choose from. The Ranger will take into consideration your overall fitness. Gorilla tracking is challenging but you will find the experience awesome once you see the primates. It is always amazing to watch a family of mountain gorillas. You could spend hours just watching the little ones roll around
and play. Mountain Gorillas are very playful and curious – don’t be surprised if they come too close to you. While with the gorillas, its important to listen to instructions from your guide. Never make sudden movements while with mountain gorillas. Time with the gorilla family will take about 1 hour after which you will go back to the starting point to meet with the driver to take you back for lunch at your hotel, you will head out to visit the Batwa pygmy cultural community in the evening. The Batwa were the original inhabitants of the forest but were relocated by government because they could not live along with the gorillas. This enabled easy gorilla conservation. After your morning breakfast at the hotel, Check-out leaving the “the place of darkness” behind, you will drive for 4 hours to a beautiful lake Bunyonyi to have an opportunity to enjoy the best scenery in the whole world, you may also involve yourself in various cultural and community activities as well as birding and canoe rides. You will have lunch here rest and relax, you will have dinner and overnight at Bunyonyo overland
lodge.
Have breakfast early in the morning at the hotel and start your journey back to Kampala passing through rolling hills with terraces and also you will have a great time viewing the lush vegetation of the different areas you will go through you will have a stopover at lake mburo national park for lunch and after which go for an exciting afternoon boat cruise expect to spot countless birds on the shores of the lake including the African fin foot, African grey hornbill, Brown Parrot, Common Scimitar bill, Crested Francolin, fish eagles, herons, Nubian Woodpecker, papyrus bush strike, pelicans, shoe bill stork, weaver birds, white winged warbler and Yellow breasted Apalis. You will leave the park and continue with your journey to Kampala you may stop at Mpambire drum makers point, or else continue to Kampala arriving late afternoon. The guide will drop you off to the hotel either in Kampala or Entebbe.
