After an early breakfast, you will go for a Game Drive. While driving through the park you can come eye-to-eye with the African animal kingdom. Hopefully, you will see elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, different species of antelope, and many tropical birds. The park is especially known for its massive elephant population, a huge array of bird species, and big herds of buffalo. You will discover some of the park’s ecosystems and different scenery with dense woodland, extensive savannahs, and rolling grasslands. After the game drive, you will head back to the lodge for lunch and rest. In the afternoon, you will go for a boat safari towards the Murchison Falls which is a very special activity, it takes approximately 2-3 hours and goes along the Victoria Nile to the base of the Falls, this boat safari will show you breathtaking scenery. Carefully watch crocodiles, hundreds of hippos, buffaloes, water birds, monkeys, and all the other (also thirsty) wildlife that the Nile attracts you to go to the bottom of the powerful Murchison Falls. If you like hiking, the boat can drop you near the waterfalls and you can hike up to the top (this takes around 1 or 1.5 hours). The views are amazing!

In the morning, wake up at leisure and have breakfast. you will set off for your journey to the green Kibale Forest. The drive is incredibly scenic, passing through tea plantations and the lush green countryside which characterizes so much of Uganda. On arrival at the forest, you will enter a completely different world! You will check in at the hotel, enjoy a guided nature walk along the Bigodi wetlands Sanctuary. This
sanctuary features 8 primate species, over 200 bird species, and many reptiles. During the walk, you have a chance to see many animals but the highlight is catching a glimpse of a famous bird; the Great Blue Turaco.

Chimpanzee trekking starts early in the morning with a compulsory briefing. There are 4 habituated chimpanzee groups in Kibale. It is said that there is no better place to observe wild chimpanzees than at Kibale National Park. Moreover, you also get to observe an amazing collection of birds, 12 other species of primates (L’Hoest’s monkey, red-tailed monkeys, Uganda Mangabeys, copperytailed monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys among others), forest mammals, ancient forests, insects and more. Chimps are very mobile and spend a lot of time on top of trees. After the time with the chimpanzees, you will go back to the hotel for lunch and then begin the 2-hour drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

After an early breakfast, you will go for a game drive in time to see the sunrise along the Kasenyi tract. The morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park provides opportunities to spot buffaloes, lions, elephants, birds, antelopes, hyenas and the occasional leopard. Queen Elizabeth stands out from the Serengeti and Masai Mara because of its beautiful landscape. At the end of the Game drive, you will head back to the lodge for lunch. The afternoon boat cruise at the Kazinga Channel starts at 2:00pm. This channel connects Lake Edward to Lake George and has one of the highest concentration of hippos in Africa. A boat cruise along the channel offers tourists an opportunity to observe park animals like hippos, crocodiles and an amazing collection of birds (African fish eagles, Great White Pelicans, Great cormorants and African spoonbills). It can turn out to be the highlight of your tour of the park especially if you visit during the dry season.

Wake up and have enough breakfast, go for a Guided walk in Maramagambo observe birds, primates, butterflies, moths, pythons and bats. The primate species to look out for are baboons, wild chimpanzees, Red-tailed Monkeys, L’hoest’s monkey, Black and white Colobus among others. The bats
and pythons can be observed from a safe viewing point. The pythons frequent the caves to feed on bats and can be seen waiting for their next meal. The driver will take you back to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. Later in the afternoon, you will visit the famous Kyambura Gorge. This gorge is also called the “Valley of Apes” and is another world on its own. Drained by River Kayambura it now has a rich wildlife biodiversity, including a family of 16 chimpanzees and many bird species. The view from the top is very impressive as you look down a gorge filled with lush green tropical vegetation amidst an impressive valley.

Wake up and have breakfast. The driver/guide will take you for another game drive in the Ishasha sector of the park on your way to Bwindi. This part is famous for its’ tree-climbing lions. While lion cubs around the world frequently climb trees for fun, adults rarely do. However, these lionesses enjoy spending the hot afternoons snoozing in fig trees to get away from the tsetse flies and to enjoy a cool breeze. The area is not only home to lions but also the Uganda Kob, elephants, buffaloes and many other species of antelopes.

The journey will continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with lunch along the way. Bwindi Forest has an incredible diversity of flora and fauna and is the only forest in Africa that can make claim to hosting both mountain gorillas and chimpanzees. In fact, half the world’s population of gorillas live here divided into nine habituated family groups. Also, 5 other primate species, 120 species of mammal, over 220 butterflies, and 360 bird species call Bwindi home. The forest covers an area measuring 331 square kilometres. The journey to your lodge in Bwindi will
be very eventful especially if you love nature and beautiful scenery.

You will wake up early at around 6am. Take breakfast, you may need parked lunch from the hotel as the the activity may go past mid-day. The driver will take you to the park offices for briefing which starts at 7:30am. The briefing covers everything there is to know about gorilla trekking including the gorilla groups in the sector, history of the forest and what to expect. After the briefing, you will be assigned a gorilla family along with 7 other travelers. The time to complete the gorilla trekking can be as little as 2-7hours! Once the family of gorillas has been located, you will be allowed a maximum of one hour to observe them. Coming face-to-face with the mountain gorillas is a truly humbling
experience.

After the gorilla trekking experience, you will be led back to the starting point for your certificate of participation. You will find our office Guide waiting to take you back to the hotel for lunch and rest. Later in the afternoon, you will visit the Batwa community of pygmies. The Batwa where the original inhabitants of the forests in Bwindi, Mgahinga, the Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda and Virunga in Congo. You will be amazed by their culture, traditional dances, songs and their history.

After your breakfast, you will will embark on a journey to Lake Mburo National Park. The south western part of Uganda is known as” Little Switzerland”, a lush, mountainous region dotted with freshwater lakes, which makes it the perfect base for a number of activities like walking safari, hiking, mountain biking, cultural village tours, bird watching. Lunch will be at Igongo cultural center before continuing to the park. The Park is blessed with over 335 species of birds, Zebras, buffaloes, impalas, reedbucks, warthogs, leopards, oribi, topis, eland and waterbucks among many other creatures. You will arrive in time to catch the 2-hour afternoon boat cruise on Lake Mburo to see water birds, hippos, zebras, crocodiles and most of the park animals drinking or bathing by the shores.

The morning game drive will provide you an opportunity to spot the park animals and marvel at the unique savannah vegetation. The morning game drive starts after breakfast, expect to be see zebras, warthogs, giraffes, impalas, hyenas, buffaloes and a leopard or two if you are lucky. Lake Mburo is one of the few parks in Uganda where you can go for walking safaris, horseback safaris or game viewing using Quad bikes.
After the morning game drive, you will start the journey back to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport, with a stopover at the equator for lunch, it’s also the best place for your souvenir shopping. You may also stop at the Centre for the Buganda Royal Drum Makers. The Centre collects some of the finest drum makers in Buganda. They make giant ceremonial drums for traditional occasions and churches. You will arrive in Kampala later in the afternoon.
