Murchison Wild Adventure
Brief over view.
This adventure takes you to northern Uganda, towards the northwest of the capital Kampala where the Murchison falls national park lies. The Park is popularly known for having the world’s most powerful waterfalls that emits large volumes of water about 300 cubic meters per second or 11,000 ft³/s at a very powerful pressure that cause the surrounding to tremble. The Murchison falls National Park is the largest park in Uganda.
The Park is home to more than 73 animals’ species among which are four of the ‘Big Five’ including buffaloes, leopards, lions and elephants (except rhinos), has three-quarters of the world’s population of Rothschild giraffes, there are various primates living within its verdant forests like the Budongo among are over 610 chimpanzees, in addition to 451 bird species including 23 Albertine rift endemics.

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison falls national park-evening game drive
Approximately 305kms, journey takes about 5 hours
Wake up very early in the morning for breakfast at your hotel or for those arriving at Entebbe international airport our company driver/ guide will pick you up and start the journey to Murchison falls National Park. Along the way you will visit the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary where the endangered White rhinoceros are conserved. This Rhino sanctuary was started to protect the White Rhino populations found in Uganda. You will continue to Masindi Town where you will stop for lunch. After lunch you will drive for between 2-3 hours to the park. Check in at your lodge. You will have dinner and overnight at Luxury: Paara Safari Lodge Mid-range: Simbiya river Lodge, and Heritage safari lodge
Day 2: Morning game drive and boat cruise along the Nile- hike to the top of the falls
6:00am, Have breakfast at the lodge.
6:30am, be ready to start your adventure in the wilderness in search of the early morning raisers, look out for animals such as; the giraffes, lions, hyenas, water bucks, elephants, buffalos, antelopes - many bird species. After the game drive, you will be transferred back to the lodge for your lunch as you prepare to have an afternoon boat cruise on the Nile River. This cruise is spectacular as it allows you to get up close to a number of aquatic animals and many bird species plus the beautiful scenery
You will get closer to what is known as the “Devil’s Cauldron”. This place provides an excellent angle for taking photos of the beautiful falls. After here, you will disembark from the boat and hike to the up to the top of falls, where you will enjoy the powerful Nile as it squeezes through the narrow 7-meter gorge, crushing down 42 feet below, producing thunderous splashes of water which raises up 10 meters high, it’s such a spectacle to watch the power of nature. Day 3: -Boat cruise along the Nile delta- Departure back to Kampala
After breakfast at the hotel the driver will pick you up and take you for the boat cruise along the delta area of the park. The cruise goes deeper into the Nile to discover amazing scenery and wildlife. If you are a birder, you will be very impressed with the variety of species on offer especially when you reach the vast papyrus swamps. you will reach the point where the Nile deposits any waste before proceeding to what is known as the Albert Nile. After experience at the Nile delta, you will start on your journey back to a hotel in Kampala or to Entebbe international Airport for you flight.
