Overview
This is meant for a large group of people who join to reduce the cost. The minimum is 2 people and maximum are 10 people. This takes you through a 253 kilometers journey to lake Mburo national park the smallest national park in Uganda. And it is the closet National Park to Kampala. Lake Mburo has incredible biodiversity and landscape that is different from other parks in Uganda. Fourteen lakes are found within the park and each is surrounded by vast wetlands allowing over 300 species of birds to thrive. You should also expect to see hippos, crocodiles, warthogs, bush pigs, hyenas, waterbucks, Eland, Topis, reedbucks, sitatunga, zebras, vervet monkeys, side-striped jackals, white-tailed mongoose, otters, baboons and an amazing collection of birds. Lake Mburo is the best park for spotting leopard.

Full Itinerary
Day1, transfer to lake mburo National park -stop at Equator crossing -afternoon game drive.
Approximately 253km from Kampala, about 4 hours Journey
At the pick-up venue, you will be briefed by the company representative. Your 3 days lake mburo tour will start off with a stop at the equator crossing to take photos as you stand in different parts of the earth’s hemisphere. You will then continue through several stretches of papyrus swamps, rain forests and several farms of the long horned Ankole cattle. You will have a stopover at Igongo culture center for lunch, after which continue into the park to check in at the hotel as you warm up for an exciting afternoon game drive along the Kazuma track. The Kazuma track offers amazing views of the park including the rolling hills and all the five lakes. The game drive will involve exploring the deeper parts of the park to encounter several wild animals and many other mammals. You will be transferred back to the hotel for refreshment, dinner and overnight stay at Kigambira safari lodge (Luxury), Hyena Hill lodge (Midrange), Leopard rest (camps Budget)

Day 2: Nature walk -afternoon boat ride.
You will have breakfast in the morning at your lodge and head out for an exciting experience with the wildlife in the park, it is a guided nature walk to the salt lick area where you find a concentration of animals gathered to lick salt i.e., Zebras, Impalas and other park animals. A hidden wooden platform has been constructed where visitors can go and watch as park animals visit the salt mine. Or choose from a variety of activities at your disposal for your own reward. Enjoy, birding, fishing, cycling, quad biking or a safari on a horse back or do all. Lake Mburo is the only park where one can take part in a horseback safari, a quad biking safari, a mountain bike.
You can traverse the park using a quad bike, mountain bike or on horseback. The horseback safari is an exciting one for it allows you to get closer to the park animals as they are less alerted by the presence of horses. For sport fishing you need your own fishing rod. You will have lunch at your hotel and later head out for an afternoon boat ride at the shores Lake Mburo. Birders will be able to spot countless birds on the shores of the lake including the African fin foot, African grey hornbill, Brown Parrot, Common Scimitar bill, Crested Francolin, fish eagles, herons, Nubian Woodpecker, papyrus bush strike, pelicans, shoe bill stork, weaver birds, white winged warbler and Yellow breasted Apalis. Day 3- morning game driver and transfer back to Kampala
5:00am, Wake up for breakfast
6:30am, morning game drive through the park, expect to be rewarded with a higher wildlife count and see more animals.
11:00am, check out of the lodge and embark on a journey back to Kampala, you may stop at the equator crossing for photo taking in case you did not have a chance to on your journey to the park. Expect to arrive Kampala late evening.
